The World Bank has Increased Georgia’s Economic Growth Forecast

The World Bank predicts 4.2% economic growth of the current year in Georgia and – 4,7% in the following year.

According to the Bank’s renewed forecast, the world economy will grow by 3,1% this year. There will be 2,2%  increase in the United States, 2,5% in Eurozone and 2,9% in Europe and Central Asia. Bank of Georgia is waiting for the highest growth in Georgia’s neighboring countries.

The forecast for economic growth of Georgia’s neighboring countries by 2018 is as follows: Armenia – 3,8%; Azerbaijan – 0,9%.

Compared to previous forecasts, the World Bank increased Georgia’s economic growth by 0.2%.
