The World Bank is introducing with Georgia’s experience of using Blockchain technologies – the first Vice-Premier and World Bank delegation have discussed the issue at the meeting.
According to the Ministry of Economy, development issue of crypto currencies and Blockchain technologies were discussed in Georgia.
Representatives of the World Bank noted that Georgia is a well-developed country in terms of crypto currency – including Bitcoin manufacturing and Blockchain technologies, and moreover, the country is one of the leaders in this regard worldwide. Thus, it was important for the World Bank to study experience of Georgia’s public and private sector in this direction, especially in the use of Blockchain technologies.
Delegation of the World Bank got interested in the development of the technologies in Georgia, development vision and future perspectives.
Mr. Hans Timmer, Chief Economist for the Europe and Central Asia region of the World Bank plans to hold meetings in other government agencies and private sectors, where Blockchain technology is also implemented.
