Uzbekneftegaz and Air Products (USA) signed an agreement on cooperation in studying and evaluating potential projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The signing of the document took place in Tashkent on 23 October 2018 during the annual Uzbek-American business forum.
Under the Agreement, the parties will cooperate in the study and evaluation of potential projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the project on the production of olefins using the methanol technology (MTO), as well as the study of existing plants for the production of industrial gases with the development of proposals to improve the performance and safety indicators of these plants.
According to the document, Air Products, jointly with Uzbekneftegaz, within three months from the date of signing the Agreement, will conduct a marketing study of the need for industrial gases in Uzbekistan and foreign markets, as well as prepare proposals for further cooperation.
The results of the work will be reviewed by the Joint Working Group, formed of specialists from enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of Uzbekistan in August 2018, after which it was submitted to the Government of the Republic for approval.
