Uzbekistan, Spain to enhance trade and investment cooperation

An Uzbek-Spanish business forum “Multilateral Partnership” will be held in Tashkent on 19-20 June, which is organized by the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Investments, the Institute of Foreign Trade of Spain (ICEX) and the Trade and Economic Department of the Embassy of Spain, accredited in Uzbekistan

According to the press service of the State Committee for Investments of Uzbekistan, the Spanish delegation will include top managers of international trade and investment of the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, the Spanish FIEM Foundation and representatives of more than 20 Spanish companies, which are recognized as the leaders in the field of engineering and implementation of civil and infrastructure projects.

The main goal of the event is to promote cooperation between Uzbek and Spanish companies in the field of energy, transport infrastructure, water supply and waste management in the agro-industrial complex.

Within the framework of the forum “Multilateral Partnership”, special sessions will be held with the participation of representatives of the ministries of agriculture, water management, housing and communal services, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Automobile Roads, Uzbekenergo, Uzbekneftegaz, The Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

It is planned to hold B2B meetings with participation of companies from Uzbekistan and Spain to discuss opportunities for business development and further cooperation.
