USAID Energy Security Project and Ukrainian Oschadbank sign MoU to enhance Ukraine’s energy security

The USAID Energy Security Project (ESP) and PJSC Oschadbank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the cooperation to enhance Ukraine’s energy security. Oschadbank stated this in its press release.

“The USAID Energy Security Project and Oschadbank have signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the cooperation aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s energy security by facilitating the launch of a new wholesale electricity market model, which is scheduled for July 1,” the report says.

The USAID Energy Security Project will support Oschadbank as an authorized bank during the initial stages of work in the new wholesale electricity market so that to create an integrated system of financial guarantees for market participants in the segment of bilateral agreements, the operation of the day-ahead market, intraday and balancing markets.
