US-based Halliburton considers creating JV with Uzbekistan on hydrocarbon production

A meeting with a delegation from Halliburton led by the vice president for business development of the company in the Eurasia region Vugar Mammadov was held at Uzbekneftegaz.

The parties noted that today the companies have formed a joint expert working group on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed in St. Petersburg on May 26, 2018, and the coordinators of interaction have been identified.

Based on the tasks set, Uzbekneftegaz suggested to cooperate with Halliburton in the field of intensifying the production of hydrocarbons from already discovered and long-developed fields under the terms of a risk-service contract.

Representatives of Halliburton said that the company will consider the possibility of creating a joint venture to provide services in the oil and gas sector.

At the same time, representatives of the company stressed that they would provide full support in creating the National Oil and Gas Database and expressed their readiness to participate in the pilot project “Digital Field”.
