Ukrainian Railways to lease locomotives from General Electric

Ukrainian state owned railways company “Ukrzaliznytsia” in the first half of 2018 expects to lease from 20 to 30 locomotives from the American “giant” of the industry General Electric. This was told by the financial director of “Ukrzaliznytsia” Andrey Ryazantsev. “Now we are negotiating with General Electric on the acquisition of the lease from 20 to 30 locomotives in the first half of 2018, if we manage quickly to coordinate,” Ryazantsev said. He noted that the first locomotives that will be leased will be used to strengthen the rolling stock on the station Kamysh-Zorya-Volnovakha.

“Today we are in the negotiation stage, but I think it will not be an obstacle for us to achieve harmony as quickly as possible. And yet the first half — the actual terms for the acquisition of locomotives in leasing,” he said. Ryazantsev said that the visit of representatives of the General Electric company to be held in early October.
