“Naftogaz of Ukraine” in talks with Italian Snam partnership in the management of gas transportation system (GTS) of Ukraine, said the chief commercial Director of “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Yuriy Vitrenko, the TV channel “Direct”.
“We are negotiating with the company Snam is an Italian gas-transport operator. The approach is simple – if Snam, the Italian company, which was formerly a subsidiary of ENI … if they will partner in the management of the GTS, then the same ENI will trust the Ukrainian GTS is much more likely that they will buy gas on Russian-Ukrainian border”, – he said.
Yuri Vitrenko stressed that, in the opinion of management, the NAC, the involvement of international partner management GTS is uncontested .
As reported, in early April 2017 “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, “Ukrtransgaz”, Snam (Italy) and Eustream (Slovakia) signed a Memorandum of understanding to jointly evaluate possibilities of cooperation in the use and development of Ukraine’s GTS.
