Ukraine’s Naftogaz signes contract with Polish PGNiG on gas purchases

Naftogaz of Ukraine company signed a contract with PGNiG (Poland) for the purchase in March of more than 60 million cubic meters of gas.

Deliveries began on Friday, March 2, through the “Hermanowice” pipe node, which connects the Polish and Ukrainian gas transmission systems.

The signed contract will be valid until the end of March 2018. Up to this time more than 60 million cubic meters of gas should be supplied to UkraineAt the same time, PGNiG board chairman Pyotr Voinyak expressed the company’s readiness to increase the volume of deliveries or extend the contract’s validity period in case of the Ukrainian side’s appeal.

In 2017, PGNiG supplied Ukraine with more than 1 billion cubic meters of gas.
