Ukraine, Spain to sign convention for avoidance of double taxation

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has authorized First Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Markarova to sign the convention between Ukraine and Spain for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion.

The respective order, No. 167/2018-rp, was published on the website of the head of state.

“To authorize Ukrainian First Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Serhiyivna Markarova to sign the Convention between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Spain for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income and the Protocol to it,” the document says.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said during his visit to Spain in early June that Ukraine and Spain would soon sign a number of bilateral agreements, in particular on the avoidance of double taxation.
