These issues were discussed at the meeting of Olha Trofimtseva, the Acting Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine, with Gabriela Matečná, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic, the press service of Ukraine’s Agrarian Policy Ministry reports.
“Our countries have agreed on the priority areas for deepening cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, in particular, on an increase in the volume of bilateral trade in agricultural and food products, cooperation in such areas as breeding, seed farming, breeding and feeding high-producing farm livestock, introducing IT technologies, development of processing and producing organic products,” Trofimtseva noted.
The experience of Slovaks in the regulation of land market relations is relevant for Ukraine that stands at the threshold of the land reform, the acting minister noted.
Trofimtseva stressed that the Ukrainian side relied on the support of Slovak colleagues in further liberalization of trade with the European Union in accordance with the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
