On August 24 the Ukrainian delegation consisting of representatives of state fiscal service and Finance Ministry will meet with specialists from Switzerland, to discuss the possibility of amending the “Convention for the avoidance of double taxation between Switzerland and Ukraine”, signed in 2002. As the Acting Head of the Large Taxpayers’ Office at the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Eugene Bambizov wrote in his blog on LIGA.net, one of the most important for Ukrainians issues is exchange of tax information, which is not provided according to the current version of the Convention.
According to Bambizov, Switzerland ranks first among the trade partners of Ukraine. “To have such a trade and do not have enough information to control the taxation – even a very rich country can’t afford this,” – Bambizov wrote.
