The second visit of the delegation under the U.S.-Ukraine Tech Partnership Initiative took place in Washington, D.C., from March 17-18, bringing together key Ukrainian tech leaders to strengthen business ties and explore win-win partnership opportunities in the U.S. market. Led by StrategEast, in partnership with Diia.City.Union and Kharkiv IT Cluster, and supported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Initiative aims to enhance collaboration between Ukrainian and American companies, unlock growth opportunities , and contribute to Ukraine’s broader economic recovery.
The delegation featured C-level representatives from prominent Ukrainian tech companies, each bringing expertise in various digital sectors – Daria Yaniieva, Investment Director of Sigma Software Group; William Murphy, Vice President of North American Business at EPAM; Orest Shchur, Customer Success Director at ELEKS; Ivan Ternovtsii, Founder and Director of Engineering at HengeBytes; Igor Tkach, CEO of Mindy Support; Michael Podolsky, CEO of WiserBrand; and Mosqitter was represented by Co-founder and CEO Anastasiia Romanova and Co-founder and COO Olga Diachuk.
Over the course of the visit, the delegation engaged in high-level meetings with U.S. public institutions, including the U.S. Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation, Space, and Innovation (Senator Tammy Duckworth’s Office) and U.S. House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology (Congressman Darrell Issa’s Office, and Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren’s Office), to highlight Ukraine’s IT capabilities, innovation potential, and U.S.-Ukraine cooperation in tech-driven domain; roundtable discussions with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), exploring dual-use technology partnerships, digital workforce expansion, and tech’s role in security and economic resilience; talks with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the State Department’s SelectUSA Team, focusing on investment incentives, market access for Ukrainian tech firms, and U.S.-Ukraine digital collaboration.
These discussions focused on Ukraine’s role as a resilient tech hub and the potential for U.S.-Ukraine partnerships in innovation and beneficial growth opportunities.
Through targeted matchmaking and strategic dialogues, the initiative continues to provide Ukrainian companies with access to investment channels, business expansion opportunities, and a platform to showcase Ukraine’s digital capabilities to the global market.
