The United States Department of Commerce has welcomed the signing of a $2.3 million contract between U.S.-based Western Services Corporation (WSC) and Energoatom to supply equipment for a simulator training power unit operators, the U.S. agency reported on its website.
“The U.S. Department of Commerce welcomes the signing of a $2.3 million contract between Western Services Corporation (Maryland) and the Ukrainian government. The company will supply simulators for training power plant operators for the state-owned enterprise that manages Ukrainian nuclear power plants,” the report says.
According to the ProZorro electronic procurement system, the auction was held twice. The first one took place in February 2017, but was canceled, although in their course WSC won the tender for the supply of equipment with a price of $1.687 million. The second auction ended on August 11. Ukratom Service LLC and GSE Performance Solutions, Inc. also took part in the auction.
The U.S. department notes its lawyer center together with the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv for 18 months had been working to ensure the transparency and openness of purchase of this service.
