On November 13th, StrategEast President Anatoly Motkin has handed over the StrategEast Westernization Award to Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference. The ceremony took place in Munich Security Conference office in Berlin.
Ambassador Ischinger was nominated for the StrategEast Westernization Award for engaging the post-Soviet countries into the global security system.
In course of the Munich Security Core Group Meeting held on October 2018 in Minsk, Ambassador Ischinger has facilitated a constructive and open dialog, that provided a fertile ground for developing a new approaches towards collaboration with the post-Soviet countries.
The StrategEast Westernization Award was established by StrategEast for significant contribution of politicians, business representatives and civil activists to developing closer relations between Eurasian region and the West.
