Tajikistan launches hydropower plant, co-financed by German Development Bank

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on September 13 inaugurated a hydropower plant in Murgab district, which is considered one of the world’s high-mountainous plants, the president’s press service said.

The small hydropower plant with capacity of 1,500 kWh, is called Tajikistan. The height of the dam is 64 m, its width is 12 m.

Tajikistan hydropower plant is the second high-mountainous hydropower plant in the world after small hydropower plants in Nepal.
