Uzbekistan plans to launch an electronic trading platform, ZoodMall, in the first half of 2018. A Memorandum of Cooperation for this project was signed between National Postal Operator of Uzbekistan JSC Uzbekiston Pochtasi and Swiss company ZOODEL on February 8, the Jahon information agency reported.
The parties expect that the Memorandum will become an important mechanism for increasing the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s businesses and help Uzbek producers in global online trade, as well as create the basis for developing close commercial ties and increasing the volume of multilateral trade with the countries of Silk Road.
In accordance with the Memorandum, the parties will exchange experience, information, provide mutual data and consulting support, and ensure participation in events promoting the development of international electronic commerce. It is planned to launch, in the first half of 2018, a new electronic online platform, ZoodMall, which will allow manufacturing companies, dealers, representatives of Uzbek and world trade brands to sell their goods without intermediaries.
ZOODEL together with Uzbekiston Pochtasi will offer a solution that allows sellers and manufacturers to place products on ZoodMall website through mobile applications, and promote goods placed on ZoodMall through the world’s international B2C trading platforms (eBay, AliExpress, Lazada, Cdiscount, etc.).
This will provide access to products for millions of customers per day. Free registration is considered for Uzbek producers.
ZoodMall mobile application will enable Uzbek entrepreneurs to conduct online trading on international markets. This means that they will be able to reach more than 300 million potential buyers.
