Swiss Stadler, Uzbekistan mull cooperation in railcar construction

A meeting with representatives of the Swiss company Stadler was held at the joint stock company Uzbekistan Temir Yollari. In a constructive dialogue, issues of the development of bilateral relations in the field of railcar construction were discussed.

In particular, the question of the organization of the territory for the production of passenger cars in Uzbekistan was considered, and further prospects for establishing exports to the regions of Central Asia and a number of other projects were discussed.

The Uzbek side has made proposals for the introduction of Stadler’s modern technology at industrial enterprises in the railway sector of our country, as well as the supply of components and main traction systems for electric locomotives. In particular, they discussed the operation of modern metro trains and trains made in Switzerland in Uzbekistan.

Upon completion of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
