StrategEast took part in the Digital Connectivity Summit in Georgia

StrategEast President Anatoly Motkin and Project Manager for Caucasus Lika Merabishvili took part in the International Digital Connectivity Summit Georgia 2022 “Developing inter-regional connectivity corridors”.

Mr. Motkin delivered a presentation at the panel “The role of key industries in driving digitilazation and regional connectivity”, concentrating on the IT resiliency and a culture of innovation as key points for the regional connectivity to power positive social change. Ms. Merabishvili took lead on the Q&A session following the presentation.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia together with ComCom and the World Bank around international digital connectivity to raise awareness of the emerging opportunities among regional and international private sector telecom operators and carriers, content providers, nodal infrastructure developers, and regional public sector stakeholders, and provide a platform for key public and private stakeholders to collaborate towards shared projects and long-term objectives.

Among the speakers were Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; Vakhtang Abashidze Vice-Chairman, ComCom; Charles Cormier, Regional Director, Infrastructure, for Europe and Central Asia, World Bank, Himmat Singh Sandhu, Digital Development Specialist, World Bank; David Sahakyan; Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia; Samir Gachay oghlu Mammadov, Deputy Minister of digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan; Eka Kubusidze, Head of Communications, Information and Modern Technologies Department, MoESD and others.
