StrategEast strengthens partnership with Uzbekistan’s Digital Technologies Ministry

StrategEast recently held a meeting with Mr. Sherzod Shermatov, the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, to discuss the ongoing joint activities and future collaborations in the technological sphere.

The meeting addressed several key areas of development, including the enhancement of technological cooperation with Gulf countries. Both parties explored opportunities to strengthen ties between Uzbekistan and the Gulf region, emphasizing the strategic importance of such collaborations.

Educational programs with leading tech companies were also a focal point. StrategEast and the Ministry are committed to developing initiatives in partnership with top technology firms to advance local talent and innovation. The Ministry assured its support in involving Uzbek universities in these educational partnerships, aiming to equip professionals with the most advanced technical skills and knowledge. This collaboration ensures that the local workforce remains competitive and up-to-date in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. Additionally, the participation of Uzbek startups in the Google and StrategEast Hackathon – Build with AI was highlighted as well. This event encourages startups to showcase their innovations on an international stage, stimulating entrepreneurial growth and technological advancements within Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, strategies to attract and support venture capital investments in Uzbek startups were discussed. These efforts are crucial for promoting a robust ecosystem for entrepreneurial growth and innovation.

One of the recent notable accomplishments highlighted during the meeting was StrategEast’s successful introduction of Sigma Software to the Uzbekistan market. Sigma Software, a leading global IT consulting company, is set to make its debut in the Central Asian market. This move signifies a major step forward in enhancing the region’s technological capabilities and creating new job opportunities.
