On March 7, Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast, delivered a speech at the LEAP Summit in Saudi Arabia, focusing on leveraging technology companies for job creation through education. Mr. Motkin stressed the need to move beyond traditional training methods and proposed soft-landing global engineering companies to establish local R&D offices.
Mr. Motkin outlined the “StrategEast Method,” addressing challenges in digital product development and local talent creation. The approach involves attracting global IT companies, initiating local activities through training local talent, and delivering cutting-edge digital services to the region.
Anatoly Motkin presented a concise action plan that envisions identifying first customers for digital solutions (government, municipalities, and large companies); selecting universities for the “Jobs Creation Through Education” program; compiling a list of global IT companies, inviting them to participate and negotiating terms; setting criteria for global IT companies to launch in Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries, hiring locally trained talent.
