StrategEast President Anatoly Motkin moderated a round table on the Digital for Freedom initiative developed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine within the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano. The meeting was chaired by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov and was attended by representatives of the leading global tech companies.
«The goal of the Digital for Freedom initiative is to build the first absolutely free, transparent and efficient digital state and to share this experience with the world. By implementing this initiative, Ukraine will be able to become a beacon of digitalization for the countries of Eurasia and beyond, contributing to the overall global digital transformation.
The need to start implementing this initiative without delay has become apparent within the recent months, when the digital infrastructure has essentially become one of the main pillars of Ukraine’s resilience.
Now, more than ever, Ukraine is in a greater need of support and assistance from the global tech leaders. We ask you to help Ukraine in what you are the best – building advanced ecosystems, integrating the life of the country and each of Ukrainian citizens into a reliable and convenient digital space, uniting people and services, and in total – making the world a better place» – said Anatoly Motkin in his opening remarks.
The parties agreed to set up an advisory team to the Ministry of Digital Transformation consisting of the leading global tech companies to assist Ukraine to become a first entirely digital state, based on the most advanced technologies.
