SrategEast has successfully concluded the third U.S. visit of the U.S.-Ukraine Tech Partnership Initiative, held on April 22–23 in Washington, D.C. This initiative, developed in partnership with Diia.City Union and Kharkiv IT Cluster, and with the support from the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, aims to deepen cooperation between the Ukrainian tech sector and the U.S., foster business partnerships, attract investments, and contribute to Ukraine’s broader economic recovery.
The visit brought together top executives from some of Ukraine’s most prominent tech companies, including Sigma Software Group, ELEKS, Aspichi, Iron Cyber, Hideez, and DocStudio. The delegation was led by Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast, Hanna Myshko, Regional Director for Ukraine at StrategEast, and Valeria Kushnerchuk, Executive Director of Diia.City Union.
Over two days, the delegation participated in a series of high-level engagements designed to connect Ukrainian tech innovators with American stakeholders across government, defense, and the private sector.
The visit started at RAND – one of the leading think-tanks with extensive expertise in defense-tech.
The group has met at the U.S. Department of State with senior advisors representing the Office of the Special Envoy for Critical and Emerging Technology, as well as officials from the Bureaus of European and Eurasian Affairs and Cyber and Digital Policy. The meeting were followed by a focused discussion with national security experts at the Heritage Foundation about the future of the cooperation between two countries’ private sectors in the area of dual-use technology.
Further engagement took place on Capitol Hill, where the delegation met with representatives from the office of Senator Kevin Cramer and Congressman Don Bacon, both of whom hold leadership roles on Senate and House subcommittees focused on emerging threats, cyber, and innovation.
The visit concluded with a roundtable discussion hosted by the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University. This session brought together leaders from AWS, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Z-Scaler, HII, AeroVironment, and other strategic partners in defense and emerging technologies. The dialogue centered on pathways for deeper cooperation, opportunities for Ukrainian tech companies, and practical strategies for building long-term, transatlantic partnerships.
Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast, emphasized that this initiative goes beyond business networking. It is a platform for building enduring alliances and ensuring that Ukraine’s vibrant tech ecosystem is fully integrated into the global digital economy. StrategEast will continue to lead such missions, fostering strategic partnerships and supporting the resilience and growth of Ukraine’s innovation sector.
