StrategEast discussed CA tech industry with Kyrgyz authorities

Aidina Edileva, Project Manager of StrategEast for Central Asia met with the administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan representative – Almaz Isanov, Head of the Department of Political and Economic Research.

Ms Edileva reported about StrategEast activities in Central Asia, including the results of the Think Big Boot Camp in Uzbekistan, held with US Market Access Center Inc. (USMAC), and Uzbekistan Venture Capital Association, where Avlo and Wetlink startups managed to raise $200,000 in investments. She also shared the future initiatives of StrategEast and presented the main priorities: digital economy development, jobs creation in collaboration with the world’s leading companies, and creating coalitions of international donors interested in IT industry development in Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting was also attended by Avigail Menashe, Chief Executive Officer at KSSDA (The Kyrgyz Software and Services Developers’ Association) and Aiperi Nogoibekova, Deputy Director at KSSDA, and Ilya Kuznetsov, one of the founders of the Telegram community “Welcome to Kyrgyzstan”.

Avigail Menashe presented the concept of a national digital transformation strategy and talked about how KSSDA is working on reducing VAT for high tech park residents.

Almaz Isanov shared his vision of the development of digitalization based on his experience in South Korea.
