On June 28, Aisuluu Kozhomkulova, Regional Director for Central Asia at StrategEast, met with Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting took place during a business mission organized by the American-Kyrgyz Business Council, hosting US business representatives.
Ms. Kozhomkulova discussed StrategEast’s ongoing initiatives in Kyrgyzstan, highlighting collaborations with the Ministry of Digital Development, the High Technology Park, educational programs, Google hackathons, and exhibitions. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United States in areas such as interbank relations, investment, digitalization, and energy.
Chairman Japarov noted his invitation to American business leaders during his recent visit to the US in April 2024, emphasizing Kyrgyzstan’s efforts to create a favorable business climate and opportunities for investment. He expressed optimism that this visit would enable American companies to explore trade and investment potential, establish contacts, and foster cooperation with Kyrgyz counterparts.
Representatives from Abbott, Coca-Cola, GE Vernova Inc., OpenWay, StrategEast, Thomas Greg & Sons Limited, VISA, White & Case, and Jones Equity Fund participated in the meeting, expressing keen interest in expanding business ties between the US and Kyrgyzstan.
The discussions underscored mutual commitments to strengthening economic cooperation and fostering strategic partnerships between the two countries.
