StrategEast and Google launch IT HUB Program in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

StrategEast and Goolge officially launched “Google Developer Relations & StrategEast IT HUB” program in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The kick-off session in Uzbekistan organized by IT Park Uzbekistan, StrategEast and Google, brought together representatives from renowned institutions, including Inha University in Tashkent, New Uzbekistan University, Westminster International University, Tashkent University of Information Technologies (named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi), Sharda University Uzbekistan, Amity University in Tashkent, Sambhram University in Jizzakh, IT Park University, and AKFA University in Tashkent. Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast, Helen Uvarenko, IT HUB Program Manager, and Rovshan Rahimov, Regional Director for Central Asia and Eastern Europe attended the meeting and gave presentations.

The Kazakhstan launch event was attended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Narxoz University, Turan University, Suleyman Demirel University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Nazarbayev University, Kazakh-British Technical University, Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, IT International University, Toraighyrov University, Satbayev University, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, and Astana IT University. 

The university representatives were provided with comprehensive instructions on the strategic implementation of the program, outlining the crucial steps to incorporate this transformative initiative effectively. The universities demonstrated their genuine commitment as essential stakeholders in driving the digital transformation goals of Uzbekistan.

As the program unfolds, it is positioned to equip 1,500 students with sought-after skills within a span of approximately three months.

As a pivotal aspect of the program’s success, each university will establish its own dedicated working group facilitated by distinguished points of contact from Google and StrategEast. This approach ensures that the universities can efficiently select and nurture the most promising candidates, empowering them with in-demand skills to enhance their competitiveness in the global ICT job market.
