The interest of the Polish private sector in Belarus is on the rise, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Belarus Konrad Pawlik. The diplomat noted: “Investment dynamics in relations with Belarus is getting stronger. Poland is Belarus’ fourth largest investor in the last eight months. It is possible that Polish investments will rise. There are several spheres where we are already present in Belarus. The interest of Polish businessmen is on the rise. We are satisfied with the growth of Belarus-Poland trade but we have still many opportunities to explore to invigorate cooperation. We are ready to share experience with Belarusian partners and to take cooperation in agriculture to the next level.”
Polish First Deputy Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Jacek Bogucki remarked that Belarus-Poland relations demonstrate an intensive dialogue at the ministerial level and the level of experts. “I hope that this cooperation will bear fruit in the form of lifted restrictions in mutual trade and will give opportunities for expanding the sphere of mutual trade not only between Poland and Belarus but also between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union,” he added. Poland is interested in training Belarusian specialists, in establishing joint ventures to promote products to third countries.
