StrategEast, in collaboration with the the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution lauched IT Hub Azerbaijan project.
The official kick-off meeting was held on February, 7th in Baku, Azerbaijan and was attended by Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast; Helen Uvarenko, IT Hub Program Manager at StrategEast; Rovshan Rahimov, Partnership Development Manager at StrategEast; Tamerlan Tagiyev, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan (C4IR); Kamola Makhmudova, Head of the EBRD in Azerbaijan, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, and rectors of key Azerbaijani universities.
The project envisages free IT trainings for young Azerbaijanis from remote regions including the cities of Ganja, Sumgayit, Lankaran, Mingachevir, Shirvan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. IT Hub Azerbaijan provides training for 80 students in 7 specialties.
The trainings will be conducted online for 11 months by international experts in computer science, programming, business analysis and other disciplines.
This is the second enrollment of students for StrategEast IT Hub in Azerbaijan. The first one took place in 2021.
