Regional Vice President Development of the Marriott International Inc. Ivica Cacic and Turkish investor Aydın Mıstaçoğlu signed an agreement on construction of a new 5-star hotel Sheraton in Bishkek.
The signing ceremony took place on Dec 4 in Bishkek Park mall, run by Mıstaçoğlu, who will also run the Sheraton 5-stars.
The negotiations took almost 2 years and now the hotel opening is set for the first half of 2019.
Businessmen noted that Kyrgyzstan is an attractive tourism destination and opening of this hotel is another good initiative to attract tourists and foreign investments.
Minister of Culture and Tourism Azamat Jamankulov, mayor of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov and Director of the Agency for Promotion and Protection of Investments Shumkarbek Adilbek uulu were also in attendance.
The 183-room hotel will be located in one of the buildings near the Bishkek Park mall. It will have standard and superior rooms and suites, as well as the royal accommodation. The hotel will also have a congress hall, conference hall for 1000 people, meeting rooms, SPA and fitness rooms, bars and restaurants.
