The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Moldova (AMDM) has recently concluded cooperation agreements with the Lithuanian State Medicines Control Agency and the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products of Poland. According to AMDM, the cooperation documents were signed by institution’s director Vladislav Zara with Lithuanian and Polish counterparts at a meeting of regulatory authorities in the medicines and medical devices sector held in Warsaw, Poland, on 9-12 August.
“The conclusion of cooperation agreements with the EU member states is a first step to set official relations and to strengthen AMDM status in the European network of the regulatory authorities in the medicines sector,” Vladislav Zara said. Cooperation with Lithuania and Poland will allow the agency to fortify supervision of pharmaceutical market in Moldova and to back strengthening the efficiency of the health system in line with the EU standards.
