Kyrgyzstan establishes unified and modern collateral registry

The Kyrgyz Republic strengthened access to credit by adopting two new decrees that establish a unified and modern collateral registry, according to World Bank’s Doing Business 2018 ranking.

The Kyrgyz Republic also improved its credit information system by adopting a new law on exchanging credit information.

At the same time, Kyrgyzstan made property registration less transparent by no longer making official statistics on property transfers available to the public, the ranking finds.
