Kyrgyzstan, Austria to start cooperating on smart city project, digitalization

On May 23-24, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Austria organized a visit of a delegation consisting of a representative of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Technology and Innovation of Austria, leaders of the Austrian Technology Corporation and the BitMedia company to Kyrgyzstan to establish cooperation with the state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Austrian delegation met with the leadership of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications, the Ministry of Education and Science, the State Registration Service, the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Bishkek Mayor’s Office.

During the meetings, the sides discussed the issues of development of Kyrgyz-Austrian cooperation in the field of technology, innovation and digitalization within the framework of the digital transformation Taza Koom project. In particular, concluding a memorandum on cooperation between the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications and the Federal Ministry of Transport, Technology and Innovation of Austria.

As a result of the meetings, agreements were reached that the parties will begin cooperation on the Smart City project, digitalization of schools and other digital solutions in various spheres of the country’s life.
