StrategEast Westernization Award Handover Ceremony with Keith Krach, former Under Secretary of State of the US for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment was held in an online format.
During the ceremony, Keith Krach answered questions from President of StrategEast Anatoly Motkin. In particular, Mr. Krach noted that the Clean Network’s success:
“The Clean Network Initiative program is a huge success. The program, created by one country, was able to protect 61 countries, which represent two-thirds of the world’s GDP, from Chinese 5G expansion. There are many Central European and Eastern European countries among them. In particular, in January 2021 we were pleased to welcome Ukraine and Georgia to the Clean Network. I myself, thanks to my activities, became number three on the Chinese sanctions list. And I’m proud of that. The Clean Network Initiative has been so successful that Harvard Business School has created a case study to train business leaders on its base. The program emphasizes such principles as transparency, accountability, integrity, respect for rule of law, respect for property rights, respect for sovereignty of nations, respect for the planet and respect for human rights. That’s what the Clean Network is.”
“Clean Network paves the way for a great private sector investment, especially in the innovation sector. And I’m convinced this is critical for Central European and Central Asian nations who share their values. And they won’t want to jeopardize the future reluing on impure 5G networks.”
Mr. Keith Krach also pointed out that clean suppliers should be relied upon not only in digital infrastructure, but also in the construction of traditional infrastructure. And this should be taken into account by the countries of Eurasia when they participate in the Chinese program “One Belt One Road”. Today there is an alternative, supported by all G7 countries “Build Back a Better World”, which assumes both clean suppliers and clean funding.
