Kazakhstan-Hungarian fund invests $10.4 million in dairy plant in Kazakhstan

, KazAgro JSC said in a statement.

The Fund was established by the KazAgro holding jointly with the Hungarian Export-Import Bank (EximBank of Hungary). The Fund’s objective is financing agricultural projects in Kazakhstan.

$10.4 million will be used for equipping the farm that owns 1500 cows and launching new dairy-commodity production for 1500 cows. The number of cows will increase from 780 to 3,000, the statement said.

Of the total sum, the EximBank of Hungary and KazAgro allocate $4.7 million each, the Kazakhstani investor’s co-financing will be $1 million.

In 2017, the Kazakhstan-Hungarian fund invested $12 million into construction of modern greenhouse complex with total area of 20 ha in Aktobe region jointly with FoodVentures (Holland) and Green Capital Kazakhstan (Kazakhstan).
