Italian Unicomfort to build an environmentally friendly power plant in Ukraine

A new power plant will be built in Zhytomyr region, which will be equipped with environmentally sound technologies based on the example of a similar model in Italy.

Municipal Enterprise ZhytomyrTeploKomunEnergo wrote this on Facebook.

“MC ZhytomyrTeploKomunEnergo held a meeting with the construction contractor of the station, the Italian company Unicomfort. One of the tasks is to make the equipment safer for the environment. Another task – the power plant should work year-round to supply hot water to the apartments of Zhytomyr residents due to the by-product heat. This requires high modulation of the installation,” reads the report

It is noted that the project of the Zhytomyr power plant corresponds to a similar model that is currently operating in Venice. Such technology is modern and environmentally friendly, but following the signing of the Paris Agreement, the requirements for emissions into the atmosphere have become tighter.

Thus, ZhytomyrTeploKomunEnergo plans to further reduce emissions from the future power plant. Therefore, Italian contractors should offer a technical solution that meets the city’s needs.
