Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received today Jan van Bilsen, IFC Regional Manager for the South Caucasus, the vice-premier’s office reported.
It said Grigoryan underlined the importance of cooperation between the private sector of Armenia and IFC, saying it ensures the correct principles of business culture.
The two men were said to have exchanged views on the main directions of the reforms promoted by the Armenian government. Grigoryan pointed out the infrastructure programs and the involvement of Armenia in large-scale regional projects, the development of the capital market. In addition, as a separate group of reforms, he pointed to the development of human capital.
Jan Van Bilsen presented four main areas of cooperation with Armenia: financial sector, energy, healthcare and tourism. The parties discussed development prospects in these areas, and looked into development of tourism.
