A major German bank might take part in financing of investment projects in Belarus, reported the press service of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus (DBRB).
A framework agreement with Germany’s KfW IPEX-Bank was signed at the DBRB headquarters on 28 May. The agreement sets forth conditions for providing long-term loans to the DBRB with coverage of European national export credit agencies.
“At present we are in talks with our German partners to discuss KfW IPEX-Bank’s participation in financing a series of major investment projects to be implemented in Belarus in the short-term perspective,” Deputy Chairman of the Board of the DBRB Ivan Varenitsa said.
KfW IPEX-Bank is part of KfW Group. It supports European exporters on the international market and implements large-scale projects in the field of infrastructure, transportation, environmental protection, renewable energy sources and energy supplies to Europe.
KfW IPEX-Bank has offices in major economic and financial centers across the world. Credit ratings assigned to the bank by Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s stand at АА+” and “А2” respectively.
