German businessmen are looking for Ukrainian partners in high-tech industries, managing director of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Michael Harms said. According to Harms, the Committee is working on an initiative that will help Ukrainian high-tech companies to enter the EU market and become part of an international network of suppliers.
“We are talking about the implementation of the procurement initiative of the German economy – to take a closer look and properly assess which semi-finished products and components are produced in Ukraine and can be supplied to the European Union,” Harms said, adding that such an agreement was reached during the meeting of the Committee delegation with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman. According to Harms, this initiative will not only support Ukrainian companies, but will also serve as another positive example of the implementation of the association agreement with the EU.
