German Polipol plans to expand business in Moldova

One of the largest furniture factories in Europe is planning to expand its business in the Republic of Moldova. The initiative was presented to Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici today, who met representatives of the German company Polipol.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the representatives of the company were interested in the facilities of the Free Economic Zones (ZEL).

“We support and appreciate the international companies that expand their activity in Moldova and I assure you of all necessary support from the state. A new business means hundreds of jobs here at home,” Gaburici said.

Also, he approached the reforms on improving the business environment and attracting investment, improving energy security and infrastructure.

The furniture factory representatives were motivated by the advantages of ZEL and appreciated the ministry’s willingness to support the foreign entrepreneurs.

The German production company, the leader in the upholstered furniture market with high quality products, was founded in 1990. At present, Polipol has over 5,000 employees and an annual income of over 400 million euros.
