A regular meeting of the German-Uzbek Management Committee was devoted to the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in training management personnel for organizations and enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2021.
According to the signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Germany and the Government of Uzbekistan on cooperation in training management personnel for organizations and enterprises, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan (CCI), together with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), organizes internships for Uzbek managers in Germany.
This project is aimed at improving the skills of managers of domestic enterprises by organizing practical short-term internships at enterprises in Germany, studying Western know-how in the field of management, establishing direct contacts and economic cooperation, primarily between small enterprises of the two countries.
At the meeting, speakers noted the effective results and accumulated experience in the implementation of the Management Training Program, as well as the invaluable contribution of this project in the development of the business environment in Uzbekistan by increasing the level of knowledge and the development of small business skills in the field of business management.
“During the work of the Program, 21 screening interviews were held in the city of Tashkent, in which 875 contestants took part, of which 417 were selected and had internships in Germany in such areas as engineering, textile industry, construction, agriculture, consulting, and hotel business, logistics, renewable energy, medicine and others,” Dr. Heinz Hetmeier said.
First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan I.Jasimov, in his speech expressed his sincere thanks to the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for providing an opportunity to entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan to take part in this high-level project.
