German company sets up a service center in Lithuania for its Northern European customers

Germany’s window, door and facade systems manufacturer Schueco is setting up an engineering service center in Vilnius to service its customers in Northern European countries, informs LETA/BNS. Magnus Winegard, general manager for Northeastern Europe at Schueco, notes that “Lithuanians have been developing and making products for Scandinavian countries for a number of years now”.

“Therefore, with the aim of expanding into the Scandinavian market, we decided to rely on the competencies and skills that Lithuania already has in order to meet the needs of our clients in this highly important market,” Invest Lithuania quoted him as saying in a press release. The engineering service center in Vilnius will develop new facade systems, including 2D and 3D drawings and engineering modeling, the government’s foreign investment promotion agency said.

Schueco already has a company in Lithuania, named Schueco Lietuva, which provides brokering services to the German group. Founded back in 1951, Schueco currently employs over 4,700 people and has a partner network in 80 countries worldwide. The group posted 1.46 billion euros in revenue for 2016.
