General Electric eyes to create turbomachinery service center in Uzbekistan

General Electric plans to create a single turbomachinery service center in Uzbekistan.

The agreement on the center’s creation was reached during the visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Washington in May 2018.

The center will be engaged in implementing the program of modernization of the gas transmission network of Uzbekistan.

The program provides for the construction of new compressor stations and modernization of existing ones, reducing the equipment fleet from 250 to 20 units, leading to a significant increase in the reliability of gas supply to population and economic facilities, increasing gas exports, and reducing operating costs.
