The French TOTAL Eren will invest 150 million euros for a 100 MW photovoltaic station project in Uzbekistan. The plant will be built on a public-private partnership and will be erected in the Samarkand province. The project is expected to be launched in Q1 of 2020 and to be completed before Q2 of 2021.
TOTAL Eren will carry out the designing, financing, construction and operation of the power plant for the entire project period (25 years).
The electricity purchase agreement will be signed inked today between the National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan and TOTAL Eren.
Note: Cooperation agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and TOTAL Eren on construction of photovoltaic plants was signed during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France in October 2018.
