French Decathlon to enhance cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

Mayor of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov met with Ambassador of France to the Kyrgyz Republic Michaël Roux and delegation of the French company Decathlon.

According to the press service of the Mayor’s Office, during the meeting the strengthening and developing bilateral cooperation was discussed, as well as the establishment of cooperation between the Bishkek Mayor’s Office and Decathlon, specializing in the development, production and retail of sports goods for more than seventy sports with annual income $ 12 billion.

Surakmatov thanked the participants of the delegation for the visit and expressed readiness of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office to continue cooperation and within the framework of their competence to support the projects and initiatives put forward by the French side.

In turn, research assistant of the Embassy, director of the French Institute for Central Asian Studies (IFEAC), Katrin Pujol invited the mayor to participate in the forthcoming seminar “Bishkek – the city of the future”, which will be held in October this year in the capital.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the administration of Bishkek city administration Balbak Tulobayev, general director of the representative office of the French company Decathlon Jerome Antonio De Silva and head of the international relations department of the company Decathlon Adina Edme.
