For the first time in history: Croatian company to start gas wells’ drilling in Ukraine

Ukraine’s state company “Ukrgazvydobuvannia” and Croatia’s CROSCO Integrated Drilling & Well Services Ltd have signed two contracts for drilling 12 new gas wells in Poltava district of Ukraine. Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman wrote in his Facebook that “this is the first project in the history of Ukraine’s largest gas production project, which is performed by a foreign contractor using state-of-the-art drilling equipment”.

The first contract for the drilling of six wells costs 23.4 million euros, the second contract, for another six wells, is valued at 23.6 million euros. Drilling operations are scheduled for the third quarter of 2017. CROSCO plans to drill two wells per year on each lot.
