Ensto Group relocated the manufacture of electric car charging equipment from France to Keila, Estonia at the beginning of 2018.
“It is definitely symbolic that the country that has one of the densest electric car charging networks in Europe now also possesses domestic manufacturing capability,” Kaarel Suuk, manager of the Keila plant of Ensto Ensek, said in a press release on Tuesday.
He said that Ensto relocated charging equipment manufacturing operations because Estonia lies close to the target markets and Ensto is very satisfied with the plant’s manufacturing competence.
Suuk described electric car charging stations as being a part of Ensto’s strategic products focusing on the concept of Smart City, according to which a city’s infrastructure will function based on the principle of internet of things.
