SolarGaps, a Ukrainian renewable energy startup is receiving funding from the European Commission’s program for the financing of science and innovation, the Kiev company’s Facebook page reports. SolarGaps are “smart” blinds that receive energy from the sun. The blinds automatically adjust the angle of the slats at different times of the day. The funding comes from Horizon 2020 which allocates funds on a competitive basis.
