On 18 September, EU energy experts began a joint mission to Kyiv together with colleagues from the United States and Canada.
The experts will be assisting the Ukrainian authorities and energy experts to prepare an action plan for the Ukrainian fuel and energy sector for the upcoming winter period. The plan will scrutinise the status of the Ukrainian energy sector by analysing data and possible scenarios ahead of this year’s winter season.
The focus of the plan will be on the resilience of the sector and supporting Ukraine to respond to potentially critical situations in the energy sector during winter. Similar exercises have been performed in previous years.
