The European Union intends to help Azerbaijan increase its economic and export potential, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Kestutis Jankauskas said on Thursday. He made the remarks at the first international conference on “Digital Trade Hub of Azerbaijan: Development Perspectives”, organized in Baku on the initiative of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication of Azerbaijan, APA reported.
The EU stands ready to support all projects on Digital Trade Hub to be implemented in Azerbaijan, Jankauskas noted. “Azerbaijan is taking serious steps in this area. I believe that you will have concrete results to present at the Eastern Partnership Summit on November 24,” he said. Jankauskas stressed that the EU is negotiating with Azerbaijan on multilateral cooperation. Azerbaijan and the EU are important trade partners, the ambassador said, adding. “Half of Azerbaijan’s exports fall on our share. The EU intends to help Azerbaijan increase its economic and export potential.”
