EBRD to provide Ukrainian city of Zhytomyr with €2 million on public transport infrastructure development

The Ukrainian city of Zhytomyr will receive a grant worth EUR 2 million from the EBRD for the construction of new trolley lines, Zhytomyr Mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn has stated.

“Zhytomyr will receive a grant worth EUR 2 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the construction of new trolley lines,” Sukhomlyn wrote on Facebook.

In June, Zhytomyr authorities and the EBRD signed a loan agreement to acquire 49 new trolleybuses. The first trolleybuses will arrive in the city at the end of this year, the mayor said.
